Quick 9 holes with Hardwick tonight at ‘His Manor’ nice to see him 3 putt the 1st from 12 feet for bogey ahead of his putting lesson tomorrow but he’s looking good otherwise taking the fiver 3&1. Is it right the occasion usually gets to him though??

Today’s playing Report from the very affordable Manor Golf & Country Club…..Lister blatantly got dressed in the dark (electric blue kegs) but still strikes a good iron (30 points) & will play better after a San Miguel, Hardwick’s middle name is now ‘3 putt’ & he even needed 4 go’s with the flat stick at one point! I think you are backing the wrong Horse Steve (or should I say Phil), rumour has it Lister is getting his big stick out again & not just down the Old Town!!! Last time I witnessed him use driver he lost about 4 balls!!

Looking forward to my 1st game of 2015 this coming Sunday with a couple of fellow Calcoers, could be some movement on the odds boards with Bells Bookies depending on how it goes but which market!! I’m sure Harwicks already had a sneaky bet on me to for Moose?!

Even though I’ve not swung a club for 10 months I’m not worried in the slightest about Mooseing, when Hardwick sold the trip to me he said there’s 2 or 3 lads who basically are 40 Handicappers and you’d have to have a complete mare to get anywhere near the bottom group?? This is only my third Calco so a relative newcomer myself.
Am in a position to give you one important tip though.
Don’t get in a round with Lofty unless you’re REALLY thirsty, he’s a premier division guzzler.
Oh, and watch out for Doigy. He’s a little accident prone.-
